Antibacterial Functional PMMA / SMMA
A functional product with antibacterial properties assigned to PMMA or SMMA, which has high transparency and high antibacterial properties for coliform bacillus and staphylococcus by utilizing an anti-bacterial agent suitable for the matrix.
1) The level indicates the difference in the number (logarithm) of surviving cells, between products treated with the antibacterial agent and non-treated products, after 24 hours of culturing the bacteria right after the inoculation. The higher the antibacterial activation level, the better the antibacterial power (an antibacterial activation level of 3.0: 99.9% antibacterial power).
Recommended for surfaces where coliform bacillus and staphylococcus are a concern in everyday life, and for covering dining areas where a clean environment is required.

: When the PMMA or SMMA is used as the extrusion matrix, it is easy to process a co-extrusion sheet.
Applying a layer as a skin about 30μm to 50μm thick enables the antibacterial power to be maintained against coliform bacillus
and staphylococcus.
